One person, one route, one note after every visit.

I'm Nasreen Siddiqui. I started by keeping my own vegetable beds and learning what was eating them, and I turned it into a business when neighbors began asking me to look at theirs. I work alone, by choice. It means I know every garden I visit, and I'm the one who comes back.

• I do the walk, the work and the follow-up myself

• I take photos of what I find, and send them with the note

• I say when I don't know, and when it will pass without a visit
